    What you need for practice

    Always be prepared for practice. Your swimmer should bring:

    Dry Land Practice (when the water is too cold)

    • Wear athletic clothes (shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes)
    • Towel (a place to lay down if they do sit-ups)
    • Bug spray (it's Houston, and mosquitoes attack)
    • Sun block (especially for the sunny practices)
    • Water 
    • Always come prepared to possibly get in the water (see water practice)

    Water/Swim Practice

    • Swimsuit 
      • Boys: jammer or racer (trunks are okay, but weight them down)
      • Girls: one piece (NO bikinis/two piece)
    • Goggles (always have an extra pair)
    • Swim cap (always have an extra one)
    • Towel (always have an extra one)
    • Sun block
